A busy weekend!

In addition to taking part in the CPC customer appreciation day, we were also invited to be part of the Oakville and Milton Humane Society's Mutt Strutt and Fall Fair. It was a fantastic day and our team had a ton of fun! We were able to educate the public on adoption, responsible pet ownership, and everything that we do! We also had a chance to network with other rescues and the awesome folks at OMHS. As there are many of us working within a relatively small community, and we're all pulling from the same resources, it was great to get together!

Despite an overcast day, we were out with smiling faces at the annual Canadian Pet Connection Customer Appreciation Day event! From 10-4 we chatted with customers, showed off our awesome dogs, and spoke to people about responsible pet ownership. Buster's foster mom Kim, new to the world of rescue based events was fantastic and was heard on more than one occasion walking up to people and saying " Hi! Want to meet a rescue dog?!"

Big thanks goes out to Dahlia from Mighty Mutts for helping man the booth, and to Carla from C.A.R.E for helping out for the remainder of the day. As fall is always a very busy time for everyone we were so blessed to have these two awesome women step up and offer a helping hand!!!

Junior Rescuer Hosts TDRI Fundraiser!

BIG PAWS UP TO ALL OF OUR JUNIOR RESCUERS!!!
Our junior rescuer Julia and her mom Elena took the initiative to host a Dog Rescuers Fundraising event at Lollipop Art Lounge in Oakville to spread awareness about rescue. $600 was raised for our awesome dogs!!!! Word has it that everyone had a blast as the kids all coloured in outlines of dogs, including some of our own rescue dogs! What an AWESOME way to spend a day, big woofs out to these AWESOME gals,and Lollipop Art Lounge of Oakville, and of course to all of those that attended.

Big thanks to Pet Valu at 2400 Dundas St West in Oakville, and their awesome manager Linda for hosting another meet and greet for our awesome TDRI dogs. Our adorable little "ham" Buster the Beagley guy and Richie the Puggle were the stars ...of the day and made friends with all who came out to visit! Paws up to TDRI Event co-ordinator Amanda and to some of our new volunteers and new fosters who gave up a lovely day in the sun to showcase our awesome dogs! Rescue is good for the heart and soul. We can't wait for our next event which is Thursday, July 17th. This event focuses on enhancing your life, yet 100% of the proceeds go towards enhancing the lives of our awesome dogs! Tickets WILL SELL FAST and space is limited! Get your dog settled at home with his/her favourite movie and come spend the evening with us! Tickets are $25 and include admission, light refreshments, swag bags and a chance to win awesome door prizes! The first day of summer!

Ahhhh.... June. The official kick off to Summer! School gets out, cottage season gears up, and everybody wants to spend as much time outside as possible soaking up those warm rays of sun!

With the onset of the warm weather, the TDRI team gets more active as we are involved in many local fundraising events, adoption showcase days, planning for upcoming events... oh ya... and adopting out dogs :) Yesterday, was the official fist day of summer and what a way to kick off the season! We were so blessed to be part of the 4th Anniversary Party and Fundraiser at Mutt Life in Milton! Mutt Life is a fantastic shop located in Milton that is so generous to our awesome dogs. Whether it's hosting fundraisers, or donating food, they always have our dogs in mind!
